Today, we are announcing the general availability of Google Workspace Studio, the place to design, manage, and share AI agents within Workspace. By leveraging the reasoning capabilities and multimodal understanding of Gemini 3, we have created an AI automation tool that is easy to use, deeply integrated into Google Workspace , and puts the creation of custom agents into the hands of every employee. With Workspace Studio, you can build agents in minutes to automate daily work—ranging from simple tasks to complex workflows—without the need for programming or specialized syntax.

Why we’re bringing agent-powered automation to Workspace
We have all lost countless hours to daily routines—checking emails, juggling calendar logistics, and chasing down follow-up tasks. Traditional automation tools tried to help, but they were too rigid and technical for the average user. That is why we integrated custom agents directly into Workspace via Studio, allowing you to delegate these repetitive tasks to agents capable of reasoning, understanding context, and handling the work that used to slow you down. Studio puts the full potential of agentic AI into everyone's hands—not just specialists—by eliminating coding friction and making it easy for anyone to design agents in minutes that automate their unique business processes.
Google Workspace Studio is the place to create, manage, and share AI agents in Google Workspace .
Automate complex tasks with intelligent agents in Google Workspace
While traditional automation logic relies on strict rules, rigid conditionals, and programming knowledge, Workspace agents are designed to be more powerful and flexible. Powered by Gemini ’s advanced capabilities, these agents can effectively reason through problems, instantly adapt to new information, and handle complex business processes from start to finish. This unlocks a new level of AI assistance, enabling sentiment analysis, content generation, intelligent prioritization, smart notifications, and much more.

Kärcher, the global leader in cleaning solutions, collaborated with its long-standing Google Cloud partner, Zoi, to become an early adopter of Workspace Studio. Previously, its digital platforms team evaluated new feature ideas using a fragmented and slow process that relied on in-person meetings and scattered notes that were difficult to track.

To optimize its approach, Kärcher deployed a virtual team of agents created in Studio. Now, when a new feature idea is proposed in Chat, a brainstorming Gem evaluates its merit, a technical Gem performs a feasibility check, a UX Gem outlines a potential user flow, and a final Gem drafts a complete user story for the team to review, based on the results of the previous steps. This has reduced drafting time by 90%, turning hours of manual consolidation into a review-ready plan in just two minutes.
Allow anyone to create agents in Workspace.
Workspace customers in our Gemini Alpha program are already using Workspace Studio; in fact, these agents have helped customers with more than 20 million tasks over the past 30 days—ranging from automating status reports and personalizing reminders to business-critical processes like classifying legal notices and managing travel requests.

What all these agents have in common—whether they involve two steps or twenty—is that they are designed by the people who know the problems best. You don't need coding skills to create them. Start with a template or simply describe what you want to automate using natural language, and Gemini 3 will build it. For example, you can say: "If an email contains a question for me, label it 'To reply' and send me a chat message."
Studio creates an agent to intelligently detect and label high-priority emails in an inbox.
Studio creates this agent instantly, using Gemini 3 to determine which incoming emails contain questions. It can go even further, extracting crucial details—such as pending actions and invoice numbers—from emails and their attachments. And since collaboration is at the heart of Workspace, you can share your agents with your team just as easily as you share files in Google Drive .
Orchestrate work across all your applications.
Thanks to full integration with Workspace apps—such as Gmail , Drive, and Chat—agents understand the complete context of your work. This enables them to provide assistance tailored to your company's policies and processes, while generating personalized content that reflects your style. You can even view agent activity directly from the side panels of your favorite Workspace apps.

Agents designed in Workspace Studio are also extensible. Pre-built steps and actions make it easy to connect agents with essential business applications and platforms—such as Asana, Jira, Mailchimp, and Salesforce —thereby optimizing processes across workflows. Advanced features are also available for users with technical expertise. The personalized steps in Apps Script enable teams to tailor agents to their advanced business needs and integrate them with internal tools, ADK agents, and proprietary models using Vertex AI .
